News From the Field

ITT Technical Institute (Miami)

New Public Space

The Learning Research Center at ITT Technical Institute in Miami is being remodeled. We got a new public space with fresh paint and new carpet. The Librarian moved into her new working space. The new furniture is being delivered. The multimedia is rearranged, set up, and available for students to use. The LRC is located in the end of the second floor where Miami’s afternoon sun makes it cozy and welcoming. The new Internet café that is replacing the old student lounge room is right across the LRC. A big screen TV will be added for the students’ entertainment in the café area. What about the LRC? Our students like any other young adults want to play video games and play traditional chess. I guess, they do not like the electronic variation that does not allow enough social communication. The ITT-Miami is a part of other hundred and plus colleges nation wide. The renovated LRC is coming up in a time of college growth demographically and by adding new educational programs. In Latin, we call the Library the “Bibliotheca.”

The new alma mater
Is a Mecca for info and supra.

The traditional library is not expired.
Nowadays, it is wired.

Sometimes, it is wireless,
Nevertheless, it will be worthless.

The complete transformation
Throughout virtualization

Created the renovation
Of facts and information.

Moving to new destinations.
