Florida Institute of TechnologyDean’s Annual Awards for Professional Excellence Dr. Celine Lang, Evans Library’s Dean of Libraries, recently bestowed her annual awards for professional excellence. Recognized this year were several Library faculty and staff who make “extraordinary contributions to fulfillment of the Library’s mission of service and access.” Kathy Turner, Director of Instruction, and Ann Sepri, Research Librarian, received awards, as did Travis Jones, Nathan Miller, Jon Beliveau, and Mary Barker, the Library’s technical team. With great thanks, Wendy Helmstetter, Laura Metz, and Stuart Culy were also recognized. Fundraiser a Success The Evans Library’s November 15th Barnes & Noble event resulted in the Library reaching its $1000 goal! From 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., supporters enjoyed book signings, poetry readings, discussions, music, improv, and shopping. Scheduled throughout the day, presenters included university faculty and student groups.

Ms. Romans participates on the team that facilitates access to resources and services for Florida Tech’s distance-learning faculty and students.
