The conference was held in Eugene, Oregon, in June. She also provided a daylong orientation to U.S. university libraries for Fulbright students in August. The grant-funded Fulbright Gateway Orientation Program, developed by FIU's Institute for International Education, provided a four-day orientation to the 70 international Fulbright students who have come to the US to study this fall at universities nationwide. The library sessions were designed to introduce these graduate students to the often dramatically different policies and services they will encounter at university libraries in this country.

He is pursuing several initiatives as a result of the trip. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Access Services, and is overseeing a written interview of two resource-sharing leaders; the interview will be published in a future issue. Additionally, he continues to serve on the ALA-RUSA-MOUSS Interlibrary Loan Committee and is overseeing the first major revision of the ALS ILL Request Form (in print) since the 1980's, and its conversion to an electronic format.
