People: Papers, Publications, and Presentations

Jim Corey (FLCA), Priscilla Caplan (FCLA) and Stephanie Haas (UF Marston Science Library) represented the Linking Florida's Natural Heritage project March 15-17, in Washington, DC. The conference was sponsored by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Stephanie Haas gave a presentation on the project, which aims to create a virtual library of ecological information from heterogeneous museum, library, and citation databases throughout the state of Florida. Priscilla Caplan gave a presentation on developing standards for digital library management, interoperability and preservation.

Caplan was also moderator of "Libraries and the Web: Shaping and Defining the Future", at the OCLC Symposium at ALA Midwinter. She presented "Citation Linking for Electronic Journal Articles", at the project briefing at CNI Fall 1999 Task Force Meeting.
